AceMoney for mobile

Post by GordM »

I don't have Android, but looked at the screenshots for AceMoney Receipts. Looks interesting. What I would love to have is a mobile (iPhone) version of AceMoney that presumably would save the data in the "cloud", and could therefore be accessed from a browser, the standalone app or the mobile app. Is such a program in the development plan anywhere?

That is in the works.

That, I don't think so. At least in the current Android version, the data is still stored locally on your PC, it is just synced over the cloud with the mobile version. I don't think too many people would want to have their data actually stored on the cloud, just for security purposes, bu maybe it could be provided as an optional feature so users are not forced to use it if they do not want to.

Thanks Remy. When I was looking at the Android (AceMoney Receipts) screenshots, I didn't see where you could access your balances, schedules and that kind of thing. Is that going to be available?

Time for an update on the IOS version "That is in the works.". I'm a long time AceMoney user and I would definitely have an interest in this tool, too.

AceMoney Receipts only lets you enter receipt transactions while you are on the go. It does not provide full access to your account data. The receipt transactions are synced over the cloud into your main AceMoney data file on your PC.

There has been no word from MechCAD on that subject. The last thing MechCAD has said was this:

We are working on a new version of AceMoney that will get away from MFC which makes it hard to maintain and improve upon as well causes compatibility issues with new technologies. Unfortunately, that pretty much means redoing everything from scratch just to get the existing functionality, before we can further improve and add on features.

Please have patience.

But before the AceMoney NT (New Technology) is released, there will be cloud backup and sync available for the current version.
