I walked through the instructions to import data from Quicken. I export the required data in a qif file. But when I try to import it to acemoney I am prompted to "select an account for imported transactions". I am trying to import multiple accounts from Quicken, so I don't want to designate a single account. I'd like the import process to build those multiple accounts.
How can I do that?
Cannot Import Data from Quicken
Re: Cannot Import Data from Quicken
Just to make sure, did you name the file "all accounts.gif" like the migration doc stated?cmartel wrote:I walked through the instructions to import data from Quicken. Important: name of the file should be "all accounts", not "allaccounts" or "all account". If there is an error in the name of the file, AceMoney will treat it as a regular qif file for a single account.
Re: Cannot Import Data from Quicken
Thx for the suggestion. I tried that, but it was not reliable either.

Try asking in the AceMoney Yahoo Group. If no one there can provide an answer, contact MechCAD Support directly.

Re: Cannot Import Data from Quicken
I created one account on AceMoney, checking, and exported checking.qif from Quicken 2015 and imported it into AceMoney. After the first import AceMoney created the rest of the accounts. After I exported each account from Quicken. Savings, Mortgage, Equity line, WageWorks, and 3 different credit cards. Then I imported each account into AceMoney. Even though AceMoney asked me each time what account I wanted it imported to it usually had it highlighted. Still it's a good idea to check. After I was done AceMoney did a great job importing all the accounts. My balances matched Quicken 2015. That didn't always happen with some of the other programs I test drove. It does check for duplicate entries but it's not difficult. AceMoney does most of the work. I was impressed with the job AceMoney did when importing. I have 30 days so I'm putting AceMoney through the paces. Stocks, reconcile accounts, setting up my bank, and I especially can't wait to try the android app.
