Bloomberg Data Service
Is there any timescale for fixing the data downloads from the Bloomberg Service; I have always found it to be the best, both accurate and fast?
Re: Bloomberg Data Service
What problem are you having with it exactly?

Re: Bloomberg Data Service
It doesn't work and hasn't done for some time
Re: Bloomberg Data Service
Did you submit a support ticket to MechCAD directly? These are peer-to-peer support forums.

Re: Bloomberg Data Service
Ticket was submitted on 30 July 2013 with not very helpful reply:
"Until we fix this, please enter your stock prices manually. Just double-click in the price table of each investment that you have.
Or just select a different data source for stock prices, e.g. Google Finance, and it should work. To do so, right-click on your investment on the Portfolio page and select Edit, and select a different data provider in "Data source".
Likewise, if you want to update the exchange rates, go to Tools->Exchange rates, and double-click on the record to update the value manually.

The whole point is that automatic updates should happen, previously this problem was fixed in a few days, it must be a minor change so why nearly four months?
I thought perhaps Mechcad might read this forum, if not, how do I escalate this problem?

Re: Bloomberg Data Service
Then MechCAD likely has not fixed the problem yet, or at least not released the fix yet. When it has been fixed/released, they should update the ticket with a new status. If you don't want to wait that long, you could always go back to the ticket and post a comment on it asking for the current status. Maybe it "fell through the cracks" and got ignored/forgotten.PeterR1947 wrote:Ticket was submitted on 30 July 2013 with not very helpful reply:

You are assuming that there is an update available. It does not sound like there is one yet. And AceMoney does have an option to notify you whenever a new version is released.PeterR1947 wrote:The whole point is that automatic updates should happen
Since the death of the original author, the new development team has not been as fast to get fixes/updates pushed out. That is not to say that they have been ignoring AceMoney, because they have not. I think they are focusing more on new features (mobile, etc) and less on fixing problems, which is not very good for us existing users.PeterR1947 wrote:previously this problem was fixed in a few days, it must be a minor change so why nearly four months?
They do, off and on. Bu like I said earlier, these are mostly peer-to-peer forums - end users helping end users - just like in the Yahoo group.PeterR1947 wrote:I thought perhaps Mechcad might read this forum
MechCAD Support is the official channel to get support from MechCAD itself.PeterR1947 wrote:if not, how do I escalate this problem?
