What's the best way to get started with Ace Money?
Should I attempt to download my transactions from my bank's (Northwest) web site?
Should I export from Quicken and Import into AceMoney?
The last tie I had AceMoney installed I got an error when I tried to download transactions.
Speaking of downloading, when AceMoney downloads transactions, does it match the downloaded transactions with ones already in the register?
Thanks,
James

Re: Getting Started With AceMoney Lite
That is up to you, and how you access your bank's transaction data.JamesJoey wrote:What's the best way to get started with Ace Money?
Again, that is up to you. If you already have the data in Quicken, you can certainly export/import it to AceMoney. Or, if the bank supports direct downloads, AceMoney can download directly from the bank. Or, download the data from the bank's website and import it into AceMoney.JamesJoey wrote:Should I attempt to download my transactions from my bank's (Northwest) web site?

That depends on your bank's requirements on that matter.JamesJoey wrote:The last tie I had AceMoney installed I got an error when I tried to download transactions.
It tries to, yes. Sometimes it can figure it out automatically (like with check numbers), and sometimes you may have to reconcile/delete duplicates manually.JamesJoey wrote:Speaking of downloading, when AceMoney downloads transactions, does it match the downloaded transactions with ones already in the register?
Re: Getting Started With AceMoney Lite
I imported a qif form quicken and it worked out fine.
Since I exported only from my last statement's end date, I needed to create an opening balance to match my bank's ending balance.
Thanks,
James
