Why doesn't search work on this forum?

Everytime I try to search I am told that the words I used were too common and were ignored, so I tried searching for "elephant" and received the same message.

Basically, the search engine used by phpBB sucks, it does not index words in a very competent manner, and once any given word has been seen in enough posts and marked as "common", it stays that way. The forum admins need to re-index the search engine, and maybe tweak its settings. I don't have admin rights to do it myself.
