You could setup a separate account for the "envelope" and transfer money into it as needed until you are ready to spend it, then deduct it from the account when you actually spend it. I feel that the current budgeting categories allow me to specify what I would spend in a month and compare it to actual expenses, which is nice. But, is there any way to simulate an "envelope" system, or basically setting aside savings for a bigger purchase like a vacation and only taking that ...

Does an option for this exist? Basically monthly income minus budgeted expenses and multiplying that by the number of months you specify added to your net worth?
