Super slow opening speed

Running 4.33.1 under Windows 7, all updates, patches, etc. Just recently, AceMoney has started taking a long time to open. By long time, I mean up to a minute after I enter my password. It shows up in Task Manager as a running process but not as a running application. Has anyone else seen this kind of behaviour or have a guess as to what it might be? I haven't added any apps or made any changes to my computer configuration, so am stumped.

I run 4.33.1 on Win7 and have not experienced any slowdown opening my files. How large is your AMJ file? Mine is 389KB.

It's only 114 KB. This doesn't happen every time, it's intermittent. Not the end of the world, just a little annoying.

This is just a wild guess. Try comparing an AceMoney-yyyy-mm.log file (in the Windows temp folder) from when AM opens quickly, to another one when AM opens slowly. Pay particular attention to the time stamp on lines involving "downloading the online services update file."

I think that's it. The instances that open quickly contain the following two lines:

3264 2013-01-24 14:29:44 - Started downloading online services update file
3264 2013-01-24 14:29:44 - Failed downloading online services update file

and the ones that opened very slowly have the following:

3280 2013-01-22 17:36:09 - Started downloading online services update file
3280 2013-01-22 17:36:13 - Win32HttpConnection::PostRequest() - Sending request...
3280 2013-01-22 17:36:14 - Failed downloading online services update file
3280 2013-01-22 17:36:15 - ERROR - Win32HttpConnection::PostRequest() - HttpSendRequest returned FALSE
3280 2013-01-22 17:41:41 - Win32HttpConnection::PostRequest() - Sending request...
3280 2013-01-22 17:41:43 - ERROR - Win32HttpConnection::PostRequest() - HttpSendRequest returned FALSE

Rather strange data.

Go to AceCloud-Cloud Settings, and uncheck "Synchronize for Mobile" (if checked), and see if that helps.

It's still the same as it was. Completely random as near as I can tell and once out of every 20 times. No big deal.

BTW, nothing was checked under AceCloud -> Cloud settings.
