The latest version released 12/24 is not stable and appears to crash when you change app focus. I have reported the bug to MechCad. If you can hold off updating do so until this bug is fixed.

Upon further attempts to use this latest version it fails (crashes) when using it and will not restart unless the residual items in the dock is removed.

MechCad was quick to reply. What they suggested worked. It is basically a clean install. It will require that you have your serial number for your registered AM app. Here is what they wrote...

1) Reboot your Mac and then move your AceMoney from Applications to another folder, and make sure it stays there, in case we need it later on.

2) Reboot your Mac again.

3) Install the latest version of AceMoney from this link - http://cdn.mechcad.net/downloads/AceMoneySetup.pkg

4) Run the program.

5) If you can't find your data, they are most likely in the moved AceMoney package. To find your data (.amj) file in the package, right-click the package and select "Show Package Contents". A typical location of the file is "drive_c\Program Files\AceMoney". If you have not explicitly specified a name for your data file, its default name should be Untitled.amj. If you can't find the file, you can upload the complete package to this free file hosting service - https://uploadfiles.io - and then send us the download link, we will look for the file in the package. Otherwise, you can also use your Finder to see if you have any .amj files on your Mac.

If the first attempt does not help, try all over again. The program will most likely ask you for your registration info, which is a good sign.

Here is how to right-click on Macs:

That's all well and good - IF you have your activation key I guess. I did the latest update for Mac. It hadn't been working well before but I unchecked the Mac driver button in Wineskin and was able to use it okay. Kept having to expand the window and couldn't use investments at all, but I got by. Mainly because my work CPU is Windows and I could so a lot of stuff there. Anyway - since the update AceMoney crashes less than a minute after open. Every. Time. Your workaround of doing a fresh install gave me hope - until I discovered that my serial number is not listed under the "about" line under help. The website says I have to give them the credit card I used to purchase. Well, that was 5 years ago. I have no idea what my serial number is so I can't do a fresh install.

I guess the Mojave update will end my use of Ace Money. I loved it once I got used to it when I switched from Microsoft Money. Guess I'll have to try and find something else but I can't even get Ace Money to stay open long enough to export even 1 QIF file, much less the several dozen I have set up.

I guess I don't have a question. Just wondering if any other Mac Mojave users have found a way to get it to work? The new Wineskin screen doesn't give me the option of unchecking "use mac driver" and unchecking the "autodetect 3d" box does nothing to help. Is there no way to run Ace Money on Mojave?

Contact MechCad support (https://mechcad.net). They will send you your serial number.. It is a very lengthy hex code.
