Invalid Password

On a computer with Windows 8.1, I want to remove the Microsoft Account and use a Local Account only. So I placed the Acemoney Icon in the desktop of my Local Account. Before I clicked in the Microsoft Account environment in the menu of AceMoney the Tools->Options->Password, then ticked the "Allow Multi-user access" box and selected the password and entered the password (the same for all users) with multiple users.
Now I can still use Acemoney in the Microsoft Account as before but in the Local Account environment when I started Acemoney and entered the requested password Acemoney returns me the message "Invalid password".
I have uninstalled AceMoney and installed again but the problem remains. Please can anybody help me to resolve this problem?

An AceMoney MMW/AMJ file is not tied to any specific Windows user account. However, depending on where you saved the file, the user account that created the file might have exclusive ownership of the file. My guess would be that you originally created the file in the Microsoft account and it still owns the file so other user accounts cannot access it. That is a Windows security issue, not an AceMoney issue. Try moving the file into a Shared folder, or right-click on the file and go into its Properties and transfer ownership to your Local account. If that still does not work, you will have to contact MechCAD Support.

Dear RLebeau, looks like you are right. I made a copy of the AceMoney data directory and renamed the original directory. After that I could start AceMoney as it looks for the first time with no data to work on. Then I opened the copy directory and had to enter the old password. Now I can see and use the old data as before. Thanks for the hint.
