Restore Categories

I tried to delete 1 category and somehow deleted almost all of them.
Is there a way to restore the categories to the original files?

That is what backups are for, and AceMoney has backup/restore options available. But if you don't have a backup, you will have to re-add the categories by hand. I find it odd that this happened, though. AceMoney is pretty good about warning you when you try to delete something that is actively in use by any transactions, schedules, or import rules. Are you sure you did not simply delete "unused" categories instead?

Thank you for your response.
Just getting started with AM. It was undoubtedly user ineptness that caused me to do the deletion. Didn’t have much entered so didn’t data.
Coming from years of using QuickBooks for my personal financials and just having a hard time getting used to using categories as accounts.
I have reentered the categories individually and seem to be getting the hang of it.
