Significant Import error

I have been trialing AceMoney for Windows for a few months, importing my QIF files directly, I was extremely impressed with software, its ease of use and suitability for my requirement.
Then I realised a significant problem, each import ignored between 1 and 6 (out of 100 or so) transactions, you can imagine my shock.
I therefore contacted customer support, who agreed they could see the problem but now (some three months on) they have failed to offer any remedy or resolution, in fact simply closed my ticket !
Anyone got any idea whats going on? Perhaps they are no longer maintaining the product?
Any other alternatives for basic cash management, I've tried all usual suspects.
Many thanks

I have been noticing the same thing for awhile now, and MechCAD has not fixed it yet (I have an open support ticket for it - Q78-8EN-NGRM). I think the problem started when AceMoney was updated to supported a newer OFX protocol. Something broke in the importer. Going back to an older version of AceMoney seems to have helped some people. Personally, I have not been persuing it, I gave up and just live with it. I login to my bank websites periodically and reconcile the missing transactions manually.

Yes, I have also noticed it, I just keep the bank window open when downloading and importing the QIF, and if there is a difference, I start looking for ones that are not marked with a C or I in the date range and mark them as completed accordingly, I only reconcile from the Statements never the QIFs - I tend to download weekly or more often if there have been lots of transactions.

Ok well I'm not the only one, I thought I was going mad!! It seems incredible they do not fix or recognize such a fundamental problem in an otherwise excellent piece of software, I assume they have little intention of investing further in it. I will therefore look for a more competent piece of software, Any suggestions???
Thanks

Think you may find it hard to find one that is as good as AceMoney, the person who built up the company from scratch was unfortunately killed in an aircraft crash, and the relatives took over the company, and I think maybe they do not have the time to devote to the software, things do happen but slowly, so if you can put up with checking the imported QIF against either your bank details or you can, by changing the .qif to .txt, open the QIF in a txt reader and check it that way, then I would stick with Ace Money

I agree. Despite slow responses from Support, and less frequent releases, AceMoney is still a very good app, and the few quirks it has can usually be worked around.
