Hey Guys

Im really silly i should of backed up my acemoney software.. I deleted the file some how by accident no idea how, i was spring cleaning computer with some software.. Anyway its gone not in recycle bin tried to do an amj search nothing comes up. I do have some experience in basic data recovery but i was wondering, once i have scanned the drive for deleted files will it show as AMJ or is it hidden or called something else once deleted. If you guys have any other better idea since i cant find any software to find this AMJ files.

It really depends on many factors, including the type of file system used (FAT32, NTFS, etc), whether the sections of the HDD that held the old file and/or directory entry for the file have been overwritten with new data yet, etc. So it is hit-or-miss just how much data/info about the file will be recoverable. There are plenty of recovery apps/services readily available, but there is only so much they can do if you are still using the same HDD that needs recovery.
