Ace Money can't access bank account

I set up Ace Money to download transactions from my bank and this has been working fine for more than a year. However, recently my bank didn't like it that I signed in (not with Ace Money but with regular account access) from a different computer than I usually use. In order to get access I had to go through their security rigamarole and I did get in. However, now I can't access the account with Ace Money and it seems likely this is the same problem - that is, it seems likely that when the bank blocked my access it blocked both my regular login and the login by Ace Money.

However, there is no mechanism I know of to restore access for Ace Money as there was for my regular login. When I try to download transactions the usual window comes up but after 'Connecting' the message 'Failed - click here to see why' comes up. However, clicking on 'Failed' etc. does not display any information, nothing at all. It has never worked, but in the past it has usually turned out I had set my password wrong. However, that is not the case this time, my password is correct.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I am imagining I will have to contact the bank but thought I'd try here before going through the bank's support desk nightmare.

If access was originally working, and stopped working only when the bank had to unblock access by the other computer, then the bank screwed something up on their end and will need to restore access to your regular computer. So yes, contact the bank. There is nothing MechCAD can do about this since it is not an AceMoney problem (unless the bank changed something that now affects how AceMoney parses the bank's OFX data).

I personally hate the "Failed - click here to see why" messages. They RARELY ever provide any useful information, more times then not just the Account Name is displayed. How is that useful?? I wish MechCAD would do something about those messages. TCP connection errors can be reported. SSL errors can be reported. OFX-errors can be reported. I don't see why AceMoney has gotten that wrong for so long. Sigh.

@RLebeau...Thanks for reply. The problem did get resolved eventually by changing passwords - for no good reason that I could see, but once I changed them on bank site and then in Ace Money, everything worked again.
