AceMoney Catalina ready?
AceMoney Catalina ready?
Will AceMoney be ready for the release of Catalina?
Re: AceMoney Catalina ready?
According to MechCAD Support:
So, they are working on something for OSX 64bit, we'll just have to wait and see what that looks like.We will have an update soon, the support is not dead."
Re: AceMoney Catalina ready?
Catalina is available but ACEMONEY has not been updated as of this entry

Re: AceMoney Catalina ready?
I received a new reply from MechCAD Support:
The update we are working on will be available by the end of the week. We apologize for the inconvenience!
Re: AceMoney Catalina ready?
Since ACEMONEY will not even open or run in macOS Catalina how is it that we are supposed to obtain this update?

I'm sure you will be able to download it from MechCAD's website when it is ready.
Re: AceMoney Catalina ready?
The following was posted this morning by MechCAD in the AceMoney Yahoo Group:
AceMoney Update to be released this week
AceMoney Update to be released this week
We are finishing the testing of the new version of AceMoney, to be released this week.
It took long because we were in a process of producing the 64 bit version that is compatible with MacOS Catalina.
The update will also fix the stock price download issue, hopefully permanently.

Re: AceMoney Catalina ready?
I followed the instructions, installed the new version and, after a lot of tweaking, it worked. For about 10 days. Yesterday the program fired up but could not access any data files. Later yesterday it stopped working altogether.
I have asked for support from MechCad but no reply so far. Getting desperate.
Anyone know how to retrieve my data without AceMoney working?

Re: AceMoney Catalina ready?
Did you ever get answer from MechCad? I encountered the same issue. It worked when first installed and I entered my serial number but a few days later when I went to look up some data (have been using a different personal finance app since Jan 2019) the app would start but not open my data file. I think MechCad has given up on ACEMONEY for macOS. It's a shame because it is a good app even though it is not native macOS and there is no IOS or iPadOS version.
I do not know of a way to access the data without the ACEMONEY app. Try this, Use finder and focus on your AMJ file then OPEN WITH and use other to select ACEMONEY from the applications list. That worked for me. If that does not work open ACTIVITY MONITOR and sort by name if ACEMONEY or and other ACEMONEY name shows up select the entire set and use STOP (x- in a circle at the upper left of the window) to kill those items. Then go back and try the OPEN WITH OTHER step. I have two AMJ files so I had to use that STOP method to be able to open the second file.
Let me know how that goes. If you send me a private note I'll tell you about other options for personal finance.
