Transcend TS-RDF8W card reader

When I plug in this card reader, Ace Money ceases to register input from my keyboard (physical or onscreen). Anybody have a solution?

Is it just AceMoney, or are other apps affected as well? Seems that something like this would be more of an OS issue than an AceMoney-specific issue.
