ACEMONEY and macOS High Sierra (10.13)

Post by ppsacevt »

Has anyone installed macOS High Sierra and tried Acemoney? Does it work or will MechCad have to update it before we can use it on 10.13.

No it does not work with High Sierra.

Just upgraded this morning and can no longer access my accounts.
Clicking the icon produces no effect - no error - nothing.

Heres hoping this is fixed quickly as I need to access my accounts

MechCad provided instructions for modifying WineSkin options but they failed to allow AM to even start. ACEMONEY is not able to run on High Sierra. The instructions...
1. Open Finder and click on Applications folder

2. Right click or tap with two fingers on AceMoney app and select Show Package Contents

3. Launch Wineskin app and then click on Set Screen Options

4. Uncheck Use Mac Driver instead of X11

5. Click Done and close Wine

Waiting for them to reply with a fix ...

MechCad replied... unchecked all the options not just Mac driver instead of X11.. That will fix the issue.

Hi all, :)

Well .... it worked absolutely fine for me ... I did not have to do ANYTHING, the High Sierra update (Mac OS High Sierra V10.13) worked just fine, took about 40 mins, and so did AceMoney ... worked as normal, AND all my money was still there :P

ADDITIONAL NOTE: This was the v 10.13 SUPPLIMENTARY Update the version NOW available, not the original v 10.13, (confusing I know) after Apple fixed some horrendous security holes

Just followed all the instructions, got as far as the log-in dialog, entered password and nothing happens. The icon in the dock thinks it's running (dot underneath) but it won't quit so I can try again.

Any further suggestions?

Correction, it IS running, in a tiny Ace Money icon in a corner of the desktop, but before there was always a second icon in the dock - not there any more

Hi,I am hoping someone can help.

Since installing High Sierra, I too had the problem of it not opening. I have since followed the instruction above in Wine and AM now opens, but it wont stay open. It can quit mid input or after 30 seconds inactivity.

I am not mac savvy so please be patient :)

Many thanks for any help

I too am unable to open from Launchpad or Applications. However, I can open from saved file.
Hope Mechcad will provide instructions as to how to fix the problem.
