I would keep the platform-specific sections, but also provide platform-agnostic sections. Maybe something like this:

AceMoney Desktop
- General
- Windows Specific
- MAC OSX Specific

AceMoney Receipts
- General
- Android Specific
- iOS Specific (in the future)

I agree one of the main things that put me off getting your software was the terrible Yahoo support site which I have never used and dont intend to. This is a proper forum - but it needs more users though, & needs advertising on your website.

I agree with the advertising on the website but would also add a link in the 'Help' dropdown of the program which would remove a need to 'bookmark' this forum.

As an non-power user I favor the topics as listed by RLebeau.

Give the poor guy a chance. This forum was created within days of it being requested and Yahoo users have only just been told about it. From what I can see, the Yahoo users will be flocking over very soon.

Hi everybody,

Nice to be here!!!

I quote Julie "and merge the Windows and Mac areas, as the majority of issues will be platform agnostic" and couldn't agree more "for the time beeing" as the Mac version is the same AceMoney on Wine....

The day (I still hope) we have a true Mac OS app, with its own look, running on Ipad AND on Iphone    THEN will be the time to split the forum as the differences and/or problems will get noticeable. So I would suggest to regroup both Windows and OS and split them when native OS will be released

Best regards

Could probably do with a 'support section' on this forum for users issues encountered during installation/use and possibly also a section for 'new feature requests/suggestions' (when Alex gets a minute!)

HI
I'm new to Ace Money and I'm trying to use this forum to help me set up my Accounts. I've tried to use the search function and I always get the reply that my search words are too common. I've added longer and longer search terms and I still get the error. This doesn't make sense to me!
I'm trying to get help setting up my stock portfolio and I've tried virtually every combination of words I can think of.
Anyone help?
Thanks

Did you read the documentation that is included with AceMoney? Did you read the tutorial and FAQs that are on MechCAD's website?

That is a known problem.

If you cannot find answers in the available documentation, then create a new topic on these forums for asking about that. Such questions do not belong in this topic.
