No the best way to use the program is to rely on the downloaded transactions only and dont enter them manually. This is acceptable usually for a home accounting program alone (which is what it is) where you can live with a slight delay to your transaction entering, but this program certainly isnt of use for business accounts. But then it doesnt deal with VAT.
I went through spell of entering trnsactions manually with MS Money years ago. Never again, life is too short for wasting time on that kind of thing.
Matching transactions

Re: Matching transactions
Ability to match transactions is very useful for recurring transactions. Put it on the schedule to be entered automatically so you know it's coming up and you have enough in account to cover. When transaction is downloaded, you match it to entered one from schedule, confirming that it's paid. That's how I used it in MS Money.Nats wrote:No the best way to use the program is to rely on the downloaded transactions only and dont enter them manually. Re: Matching transactions
I tried that but when I go to delete the scheduled transaction, it deletes all future scheduled transactions also. Is there a way to delete only the current transaction but future ones on the schedule?juwlz wrote:Alternatively, you can use scheduled transactions for forward planning, but not have then entered automatically. When you download transactions from the bank, skip the scheduled one that matches it.
